If you could be given one skill or ability, which would you
want, why would you want it and what would you do with it?

If i could be given and ability, i would want to be able to disappear. I think its the coolest thing because people wouldn't know if i m there or not. I would be able to go in and out of places without being seen.

I would go to clubs like crazy, amusement parks and if i didn't want to stay somewhere, i would just leave and nobody would know, i d go wherever i wanted, like on trips, get rides to wherever, go on cruises and people wouldn't even know i m there.

It would probably want other things but you cant have everything. But i know even though i have other desires i would want, having the power to appear and disappear whenever i wanted would be my main choice.

Write about the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to you. What was it? What made it so frightening? How old were you? Would it be scary again today if it happened again?

The most terrifying thing that ever happened to me was when my dad had his stroke. I was always use to having him with me and helping me with everything. I would always come back for school, and the first place i would go would be his room.
But that day, he wasn't there. When i got home, i saw my godmother and her kids in my brothers room, it was kind of strange to me but i was like whatever. She told me my dad was in the hospital, i didnt believe her, i laughed and left to his room. I looked for him all over the house, he wasn't there. I went back to her and asked her where my dad was and she told me my dad had a stroke and was in the hospital.
I didn't know what to do, and taught he was going to die. My mom was at the hospital with him, so that day, i didn't see neither one of my parents.
I slept with my godmother, her kids and my brothers. The next day, after school, my brother took me to see him and i was scared of the way he looked, they told me he was going to survive but i didn't believe them.
He spent a week in the hospital, and when he got out, went to washington for a month. When he came back, he was back to normal.
That was the hardest time of my life, because my dad means the world to me and i don't know what i would do without him. At that time i was just 12.
If that happened again i would probably die, or cry all the water in me. I hope i never have to go thru that again.

Write about the most exciting thing that ever happened to you. What was it? What made it so exciting? How old were you? Would it be exciting if you did it again?

The most exciting thing that ever happened to me was when i went to the amusement parc "La Ronde" in Montreal,Canada. Me, two kids, my friend and another adult planned everything and when the day came everyone was more than anxious to go.

When we got there, everybody wanted to go on a different thing but we all agreed to try the smaller ones first.
First we went to the splash, followed by a lot of other rides the kids wanted to go on.

At one point me and my friend decided to go on " la ronde"( The circle) and "Le vampire" ( the vampire) , 2 of the biggest and scariest rides there.l It was the craziest and most exciting thing id ever done, just the best. I was usually scared of those big rides being a 13 year old girly girl but i overcame my fears that day.

I m looking forward to doing it again, and i plan on doing so during the summer next year, because i believe it gets more exciting every time, especially now that they're working on new rides!!!

Write about a belief you've discarded. Talk about why you no longer believe in this belief?

Like to every child, my parents and the other grow ups around me use to tell me legends that i rarely believed in. They use to talk to me about Santa clause and how he would bring me presents if i was a good girl during the year, the tooth fairy whom gived 25 cents for every tooth you lost and the Easter bunny.
I never really use to believe in those tails and those surnatural peple and things but in one: Santa. Not living in the states, the story of Santa use to be told differently to me because we didn't go to sleep and open are presents on Christmas morning. We would start celebrating on Christmas eve eat at around 9 and at 11:30 they would send us downstairs, when we d come up, it was 12 and we would just open are presents. The adults use to always tell us that we just missed him and we seriously believed that.
One Christmas eve, we went downstairs and i had to use the restroom. Everyone just came up with me- being kids we were virtually stuck togeter. When we got up the stairs, we saw my mom and my aunt putting the presents under the tree. I was about 10 and had a few days before start doubting the grownups sayings and that just crowned it.
My mom told us that he had dropped them on the balcony and that now she was putting under the tree but none of us believed her being too grown for that anyways but my cousin who was 9. He argued with us that Santa was there and that my mom got the presents from him. Not wanting to make him cry i told everybody to just forget it and leave him alone.
These things are just part of the childhood, it s like dolls that most little girls play with. It s those stages in life that just make you want to go back and just be a child again. But there's nothing we can d about that but put the past behind and try to improve our future.

Do you have chores or jobs that you have to do at home? What are they? Why do you have to do them? Do you like doing them?

At my house we do our chores by week. Every child has something to do during the whole week: either washing the dishes-clean the counter and the oven, moping and swiping the floor or cleaning the tables- and fixing the couches. I don't like doing chores because to me their annoying . I think it s the routine part that's gets on my nerves but whatever, we still have to do them to keep the house clean and neat so we dont really have a choice..
I also have to clean my room every Sunday, and that i enjoy doing. I don't like when people touch my stuff, because i think your room is your privacy, and i hate when they touch them and either put their somewhere else or just move them around. I always put everything where they're suppose to be, so i don't have to look for them, and i like finding them if needed. Searching is really not my thing. I also love cleaning my room, because i don't like when things are dirty and unorganized. I'm always in my room and it also gives me something to do when i m bored.
I dont really know anybody that likes doing chores but its just something that we have to do, it s a part of life so we have to deal with it.

What holidays does your family celebrate (like Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah)? What do you do on those holidays?

Being roman catholic, my family celebrates Christmas . The whole family gets togeter, every one comes to my house at about 6.
When everybody's there, all the kids play around ands just have fun while the grown ups talk and do what they have to do. At about nine, they call us up to eat, all the adults are on the kitchen table and the children on another in the living room. When were done, we just stay where we are until 11, when the send us to go take care of the fireworks, and that s when the parents put are presents under the three. At midnight we go back inside the house and wish each other a merry Christmas, and open are presents.
After a while, on thing just leads to another until 2 or 3 when everybody just heads home, and we go to bed.

Write about your favorite and least favorite teachers. Why do you like them or dislike them? What can they do to be better teachers in your eyes?

This year, my favorite teachers this year are Mr.Horsntein, Mr Martinez, and Mr.Goddard. My least favorite are Mr.Baptiste and Ms.Graibe.

Mr.Hornstein i think is a very good teacher. He gives good notes and explains the lessons well. He goes at a pace to which all the students can follow, and he gives us labs so we understand the lessons better.
Mr Martinez's class i thing is great, because even when if he gives work, he doesn't make it so boring, you get to have fun, and you dont have to be all serious nor fall asleep on desks. You kind of get to move a little, he just make you like learning and enjoy the lesson.
Mr.Goddard gives great, complete lectures. He understands his students, answers their questions when they have some and discuss things with us like the young adults we are, unlike some teachers that still treat us like kids.
Mr.Bastiste even tough he's an ok teacher, doesn't understand his course is not the only course we have. He gives us homework every single day, and kills us with classwork and plus he makes the quizzes that everyone fails count for the most grades, so its practically impossible to bring your grades up.
Ms Graibe i cant lie tries hard to teach us, but she doesn't have the experience yet and she cant control her students. She needs help to keep them quiet and make them listen to her.
Sometimes teachers are just evil and enjoy seeing students fail, and sometimes you get a teacher that you get impatient to go to his class but whether we like them or not we need the teachers more than they need us, so you have to just listen in class, do your work so you can pass and get ur education, because by failing your not hurting them, they already have theit career and life, your just hurting yourself.

Write about your best friends. Who are they? Why do you like them? What do you do together for fun?

I have the best friends in the world: Kim, Soraya, Jhama, Christian, and my brother Antoine. I would never replace them, not even for all the gold in the world. Their like my family, my life, they're always there for me, just like i am for them, and i adore them.

Kim, has been my best friend since for ever now, and after we became best friend, we found out we were cousins. Even though in the 5th grade, she switched schools, we always talked, went to parties, had sleep overs, and just hung out. She's so nice and so adorable, she's always there to make me feel good, and to boost my confidence.
Soraya's is so much more than a friend to me, she's my baby, my life, my little sister, she's always there to make me feel better, she's always been there for me, when i was sick, when i was having sentimental problems, when i was heart broken, or when i had to leave the country. She was the one, i mostly didn't want to leave, and that i needed the most. We spent the whole day crying that day. She's always been there for me, and i miss her so much, its sad. But we still see each other and spend the most time whenever we get a chance to.
Jhama, is just the most special person and my life right now. He's my sweet heart, and i care about him more than i8 care about myself. He's so honest and trust worthy, i feel really comfortable when i m with him, and i know i can tell him anything without him judging me.
Christian's my confident we've been through a lot together, and i think he's one of the people that know me the best in the world. He's like a counselor to me, and when i start telling him something he doesn't even have to hear the end to know what i did wrong and give me great advice.
Antoine is my boo. I adore this kid i can stay on the phone with him for ever and tell him everything that s bothering me, he's nice to me. He threats me like his baby, and i know that's never gonna change.
Becca's my booboo. Were always talking and we never run out off conversation. She's always there to listen to my story's and to help me.

Write about a time when you were brave. Describe the situation, do you believe that the experience made you a stronger person?

I'm terrified of cockroaches so the last time i remember being brave, was when my nephew tried to scare me by holding one by the antenna and pretending he was going to throw it at me.
I was soooo scared, it was sad because for some weird reason i m more scared of them when their dead than when they're alive. We got in a fight and he told me he was gonna go get the cockroach he had just killed and throw it at me. I told him i did nt care and he got it and started gettting it closer and closer to me, i pretended i did nt see it, but inside i was dying.
When he realized i did nt care due to my non reaction to his threaths, he stopped and threw the cockroach away.
The situation did'nt make me any stronger because i'm still petrified when i see one, dead or alive, i even it worsened my fear. But i also know that i learned from my mistake and never let my nephew know what i'm scared of nor ever ask him to kill any animal, or insect for me.
this experience also got me revengeful but i cant do anything to him because even when he's as old as me, i still see him as my nephew and i cant hurt nor be mean to him and plus the only thing i know he's scared of are possums and i cant even leave the house throught the front yard if they're in the back. So i just let it go and moved on.

Write about a time when you were dishonest. Describe the situation, do you regret being dishonest?

I reminber this one time, i hit my brother and ran. He started chasing me around all the house, and when he caught me, he started hitting me and at that time i had just started to grow nails so i scratched all his back, his face and anywhere i could reach, i literally took his skin off. I also bit him when he held my hands, and after he got me completely immobile, i started yelling out for my mom.
When she came, she saw my brother holding me and asked what happened, i told her Antoine started hitting me out of nowhere, so i scratched and bit him, but that at one point he held me and i couldn't move anymore.
My brother tried vainly to explain his side of the story, but being the youngest and nicest one, they naturally believed me. And they told him that either way it would be his fault because even if i hit him first, i was a little a kid and he's not suppose to ever hit me back, he has to tell her and she ll deal with it.
He got grounded, and i was happy. I don't really regret it, even tough i know lying is wrong but he did'nt get in that much trouble and plus now, we look back at those things and laugh. Those where just things that had to happen but it was fun while it lasted.

Heroes may seem old-fashioned today. Many people are cynical and seem to enjoy discrediting role models more than creating new ones or cherishing those they already have. Some people, moreover, object to the very idea of heroes, arguing that we should not exalt individuals who, after all, are only flesh and blood, just like the rest of us. But we desperately need heroes—to teach us, to captivate us through their words and deeds, to inspire us to greatness.
Adapted from Psychology Today, "How To Be Great! What Does It Take To Be A Hero?"

Is there a value in celebrating certain individuals as heroes? Plan and write a blog in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

Heroes are the people you look up to, the people that did something you admire or that you might want to do or accomplish yourself. Your hero, is someone you want to be like, that you respect . Your hero could be anyone, parents, friends or pears but that still affected your life, your way of thinking, your point of view about something one way or the other.
A hero is just flesh and blood like all of us but they still have that one thing that you don't have and that your trying to get by following their footsteps.
Everyone has a hero whether it's a professional dancer because you love dancing, a football player because football is your passion, or an NBA basketball player because playing basketball is what you like.
Heroes play a major part in this world and are very important. You might be a looser to someone but to someone else you mean the world and might not even know it.
Personally my parents are my heroes because to me they achieved so much in their lives, and they are the most successful. And that's exactly how i want to be when i grow up, successful in life, a doctor with a loving family and kids that look up, admire and are proud of me.

Describe the last vacation or holiday you took. what made it special? How long ago did it occur? Does having a fun necessarily have to involve a certain place or certain people? Hypothetically speaking, which would you rather take, a three day holiday spent at home, but with your favorite people to spend with your favorite people in the world, or three days anywhere you choose in the world (all expenses paid), but with no one you really know well.

The last vacation i took was in Canada during the summer. It was the best vacation ever because my whole family got to be united again since 2 years and i had a blast.
I got to make new friends and saw a lot of my old ones that i hadn't seen since last year. We went shopping, partying and i can pretty much just say went crazzzzzy. I went out everyday, and made it as fun as possible, mostly because i know i m a party animal and was getting it all out so i would focus on school during the year.
Having fun doesn't necessarily involve a certain place or people but it sure helps. Because for example if i go to a party and i don't know anybody there, I'll always find a way to enjoy to the fullest, but it would always be better if my friends or loved ones were there.
I would rather have a three day holiday spent with my favorite people in the world, because those are the people i care the most about, and that are always there for me.
I love these people and i wouldn't trade them for anything and the world, just like i wouldn't choose anything else than being with them, thats always more than enough for me!!!
