Tommy Stickler Jr., Trenor,24 and his 19 year old wife where charged in November for killing their 2 year old daughter, hiding her remainders in a box for 2 months and then throwing it in a bay.

Trenor told his wife to beat her daughter for saying things like thank you, please and yes sir, but wasn't sure she was doing so, so one day he stayed home from work to make sir. The disciplinary session went wrong and they beat their daughter to death with a leather belt.

I m usually against the death penalty but you don't do that. She was just 2 and didn't know any better. I feel so sorry for them and i believe these sort of people shouldn't have kids, nor be able to keep them. That s a shame and i think they're need to be more protection kids in the world.

1 Teen Leaves UMC After Shooting

Just before 2 o'clock Tuesday near Walnut and Alexander road, a bus stop shooting occurred. 2 teens drove by and opened fire, shooting 6 of the Mojave high school students. The students said they where getting off the bus and that the incident happened due to an incident that happened Monday on the same road. 2 boys where shot and the stomach and remain in critical condition while the others are upgraded to good conditions at the University medical center.

The police are now searching for the 2 teen shooters but haven't had luck finding them yet. They have lifted the lock down order on cox elementary.

I think that's sad to see how violence is affecting too many of us and how the parents must feel right now. Your child leaves your house in the morning but doesn't come back...

Colorado gunman scared co-workers 5 years ago, one says

Matthew Murray, 24 was apparently a really strange man from. He wanted to join a mission trip to Bosnia, but his request was rejected 5 days after he performed a pair of dark rock songs at a concert at the mission which scared his co workers.

Richard Werner,34 gave us more information about how he was. He also added that having a bunk near Murray's, that Murray use to roll around in the bed and make noises. He needed help. He shot several people at the Youth with a Mission Center and at the New life Church of which 2 teenage girls whom died from their wounds and they're dad that survived. He was shot by a security guard and died.

I believe all of this could have been prevented if he had someone to listen to him and if they had got him help. Obviously Werner knew he had a problem and he taught about them as soon as he heard about the shootings, why did he wait so long...

Man Convicted Of Decapitating Neighbor Gets 30 Years

Evan Marshall was convicted of killing his 57 year old retired teacher Denice Fox in august 2006. He says he went to her house to look for money and drugs but when he faced the woman, he stabbed her several times. He then dismembrated and stabbed the remainders in his basement trash. He was arrested the following day with her head in his car trunk. But that was not his first crime, he had also ran down a pedestrian a while before.

Marshall was sentenced to 30 years before possibility of parole which frustrated the lady's family and the pedestrian. They publicly declared their desire for him to get life with no parole but they where no proofs that he broke into the house. It seems like the lady did open the door.

I m totally against the judges decision because i don't think it s fair to the family nor to the rest of the people that could be his next victims. He's a national danger and should be sentenced to life.

Finish this sentence: I was most disappointed when... describe in detail a time when you were most disappointed. What happened? What caused the events?

I was most disappointed in my best friend when he said that we should end our friendship. We had been arguing a lot and getting into fights for the stupidest reasons for a while now, and he decided he couldn't take it anymore and ask me if it wasn't just a sign that our friendship was dying and wasn't meant to be saved. I was pissed because he means a lot to me and i am very attached to him. I did realize that we where having some problems but i to me it wasn't as bad as not talking anymore and ending the friendship.

It was ok because being sensitive and often overreacting, i was mad and told him it was his decision so whatever i guess we would do that. The next day, i called to apologize and even tough we where both mad, i was trying to be the bigger person. I didn't think we would ever be the same way we where before but somehow we managed to and i really don't know what i would do without him.

You have an extra $1,000,000 to give away; you cannot spend it on yourself. What would you do with the money? Describe what you would do with it in detail

I i had an extra1,000,000 i would give 1/4 (25,000,000)to my family or like as heritage for my kids in with the rest. I d then go to Haiti and give 1/4 to the poor kids because their hunger and problems got them doing all sort of vandalism. It s so sad to me, seeing little kids destroying their lives and the ones to come forever by kidnapping, rapping and killing people. It's just terrifying to me to imagine and even to have lived seeing young children walking with guns.
I would give an other quarter to create and maintain a shelter for unfavored people because i believe life is so unfair to them. I cant believe some people have a perfect life and throw money and food away while others are dying of hunger, of colds and of diseases not having anywhere or anyone to go to.
I would give the rest to the search for a cure for breast cancer and STD's. For some reason, i got really concerned about breast cancer and sexually transmitted diseases but the weird thing about it is that i don't know anybody affected from neither one of them but it s still hurts me to see people hurt, and suffering so i guess that could be a reason.

What is something you dislike about yourself? Describe it in detail. Why don’t you like this particular attribute?

I know in life nobody's perfect, and everybody has good and bad attributes. But i believe that i m so close to perfect sometimes it scares me (LOL). I love everything about myself but if i had to say what i liked the least it would probably my over sensibility.
I wont go and say i hate it because its part of me and its what makes me, but that doesn't stop me from sometimes hoping that i didn't take everything at hearth like i do.
Everybody always tells me that i have to change that and i often hear that they cant joke with me. i think that s not true and its just that i m over caring sometimes, and that some jokes are sometimes just not funny but well you never know it s maybe something i have to work on but5 it s not like i m going to stress all my life over it. It's what makes me Rachelle, and my unique self so i don't care. Like i always say if you don't like my attitude quit talking to me!!!!!

Have you ever seen a ghost or heard a noise that could not be explained by any rational explanation? If so describe the occurrence. What happened? Describe the entity you saw or sound you heard. If you have not, do you believe that there are spirits of dead people dwelling in our world? Do you know anyone who claims to have had an encounter such as this? Do you believe them?

I do believe that there are spirits of dead people dwelling in our world because to me, a spirit cant rest in peace until he's fulfilled what he desires and is happy. Like for example when somebody gets killed i believe that person cant rest in peace until he takes his revenge. So the persons soul cant go wherever its going, in heaven or in hell until he is revenged but i also think that they have an option, because i really don't think God would let you get vengeance and go to heaven i believe its more like, if you don't want to hurt the person you might need to wait for him to be punished, or die himself.

I don't believe in voodoo, well i know it exists but i just know it cant hurt me. And i know a few people that practice that religion and they often claim they have seen dead people come to them at ceremonies. I do believe them, because you never know its black magic and like they often say, humans worked hard to keep on achieving more and more and getting more power and capabilities so i guess it might be true, but i'll probably never know, well i really don't want to know, because seeing a ghost is definitely not part of my 10 things to do list. :)

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why? Is there any special location that you would like to go to? Have you been there before? What is your impression of this place?

I don't know if its because i m sixteen but if they're was one place in the world i could live, it would be Haiti. I know it might sound ignorant and infantile knowing that the country is undeveloped and presently insecure, and you basically cant have a life there, that is and will always be my number one choice because i love it.

I was raised there, i lived there all my life and i have so much memories that i wouldn't think about any other place. Haiti is the only place i know that there isn't an age to drink, go clubbing or well to do just about anything.

I believe this obsession with the country is just do to the fact that i m really nostalgic since i left, because of the unexpected way it happened but it will probably change, because before i wasn't like that and knew that i would leave one day, i just wasn't ready yet.
When i m about 21 and I'm legal everywhere, i ll probably want to go live somewhere but until now, i ll just stick to studying hard, so i can get a job, and move back over there.

What is your most indispensable possession and why? What possession of yours is most special? What make it so special? How did you acquire it?

My most indispensable possession is a set of gold jewelry that have ruby stones. When she was young, my mom got a set of jewelery with ruby because red was her favorite color, and when i was born in July, she was really looking forward to giving it to me being my birthstone, but still waited for the right time. She also started a tradition.

She kept it and gave it to me when i was 10 as a birthday gift because she then believed that i was mature enough to keep it by myself without loosing it. Its also very special to me because it was the first real sign to me that my mom trusted me. I use to always loose and be careless about my jewelry. But when she gave me that set, i looked forward to me having it my whole life and passing it on to my own kids and i hadn't lost anything since.

I ll keep until i have my own daughter ( if i'm blessed with one) turns 10, and if i'm not i ll give it to my son, so he can give it to her daughter. My jewelry is the what i care the most about, if i where to leave the country or something i think i d forget my passport before i forgot it.

Is calling the man Hispanic to describe what he looks like a racist statement or not?

When i just came here, i never made a big deal about race, due to the fact that where i lived, we were all Haitians and it didn't matter what our skin color was, were we were born nor what color our eyes or hair was. We were all equal in every possible way. Black, white or yellow we were all people, friends and family living in the same country and going through the same thing its not like we had a different education for different races, or you could get jobs because you were white. Race was never an issue. The only time we might have talked about race was in middle school where we studied that there were 3 races: White, black and yellow.

So when i moved here, and i heard Hispanics saying they were not white but Hispanic, i taught that was the most ignorant thing because Hispanic is not a race. So no I definitely don't think it's a racist comment, because they didn't even mention the persons race in the description. And plus that makes no sense to be all concerned about the way they described the person because i always hear descriptions of criminals starting by it was a black man... and i don't see anybody complaining about it, that's what a description is, describing the person and the most details possible, because the more information you give about the suspect, the better chances you have of getting him caught.

If I were the teacher, I would... (finish this sentence and write at least 2 paragraphs describing what you would do if you were a teacher)

If i were a teacher, i would always make sure that all my students are treated equally. I've never even consider being a teacher but it always amazed me how a lot of teachers around me, often like some students more than others, or just treat some unfairly: by giving them referrals for no reasons, or kicking them out at the first occasion they find just because they don't like the students.
I believe that as a teacher you need to be the bigger person by putting aside your feelings for that particularly person and teach him what you have to teach him. What they don't realize is that the more you help that student, the better it is, because you have less chances of seeing that kid next year and the faster he'll leave school so you ll probably never have to see him again.

If i were the teacher i would also make sure every student have a clear understanding of the class so i would be sure that everyone, is on the same level of comprehension. I wouldn't be like some others that just assume the child would get it after a few exercises.

The best lesson my grandparent (or parent or any relative) ever taught me was… (describe what and why)

The best lesson I've ever been taught was by my mom. She's always telling and showing me that what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Whenever something happened to me, i use to just sit there and complain about it. When i had a problem i use to either close my eyes or run away from it and she use to always repeat to me that years didn't kill me so days wont.

From that i started facing my problems, just like my mom and learn from my mistakes. I look up to my mom, because she's the strongest woman i know. My mom doesn't argue with people, if you do something to her ,she wont fuss, complain nor fight you about it, she ll just let it go, but for example if you lied to her, she'll just not trust you anymore. Me and my brothers are the apple of her eyes and even when we give her a hard time, she's still there and takes it. And them me and my dad are the only people she really forgives and forget about somethings we do wrong.

If it wasn't for her, i d always be sad or crying just like i was before. But thanks to her now, i m learning that crying and getting mad doesn't resolve anything, it just gives you a hard time, while the problem is still there and you have no solution for it.

If you and your best friend could have a free limo for 24 hours, where would you go and what would you do? Describe in detail what you would do.

To me a limo isn't really a big deal. It s just like whatever. But if me and my best friend could have a free limo for 24 hours on just a regular day, for example if it s not a party or a bal, it would just be normal. We d just go around, well first i'd go to the mall, because that s all i do and after i would probably head clubbing.

I d find a way to go to a club, we d dress up to fit the car, well we always do and drive around for a while before we actually get out of the car.

I know i d enjoy the champain though (j/k). But i know for a fact i wouldn't stick to one club. I would probably go to three or four clubs, because after an hour or two we d be tired of seeing the people's faces.

Describe a dream that you had recently. Provide as many details as possible. What do you think the dream meant? Did it disturb you or did it make you feel good? Why?

Yesterday, i had the craziest dream. I dreamed my nephew died. It was the craziest thing, he sneaked out of the house to see his girlfriend and got in a car accident. Everybody in the dream was crying and in pain and we didn't understand anything. It was weird because all of a sudden we got to the coffin part but it was in the house.

My sister buried him with a PlayStation 3 and i put a magazines about cars in it, because to me its all he lives for. I also added a picture of his girlfriend because lately that s all he's been talking about, and being the last person who saw him she was devastated and begged me to. It was the saddest thing ever, but just when we closed the coffin, i woke up.

When i looked at my clock it was 4:30 and realizing i had another hour to sleep, i layed right back on my bed and slept without any problem.

Write an entry telling another person something that you are too afraid or reluctant to tell them. Pretend you are actually talking to them either in a note or in person

Hey Babe, i know i've been holding this from you for two years now but now i have to let it out. Every single morning when i wake up and just like that during the day, i cant stop thinking about you and the fact that your destroying yourself.

I love you with all my heart and i need you here with me, i dont know what i will or would ever do without you and to me the fact that you smoke means it s not reciprocal. I've tried everything to make you stop, ask you for it as a birthday gift, as a token of love, i even told you i would start if you didn't stop but you never listened. And i wont ever start, because unlike you, i love myself and think about the people who love and appreciate me before i do something stupid like that.
I reminber one day, when i was explaining to you that i told one of my X's to quit or i would start and he did, you got mad because you said that to you it meant that i cared about him more than you that i've known all my life, that had always been there for me and that i love soooo much.

I know that now, i m not with you everyday, and i only see you during a short period, and that the rest of the year just keeps getting harder and harder everyday without you, it doesnt matter, because it's better than watching you kill yourself.

Your probably even though you say your not, so addicted to it that this letter, coming from the bottom of my heart, your baby, your life, wont even matter nor have any time of impact on me. But at least i know i tried, and i ll continue trying until the end.
and now that i still and will always love you , and i miss you soooooo much,
Rachelle

Would you like to be on TV? Why? What would you like to do? What show would you like to be on?

Being on TV isn't a dream to me, but if i was offered a job or had to go do something, i wouldn't mind at all. I really believe in myself and have high self-esteem.

I would like to do a show for kids or a drama show. I d like to be on the Tyra banks show or some type of fashion, dance or drama show.

I like to express myself and dance, i love modeling and clothes so being on TV to do it would be the best thing to me.TV needs new people on it because i m tired of always seeing the same people, we need new shows, new episodes.

I also wouldn't hate being on Barney and friends, or full house, wee if they still made it because when i was younger it was my favorite show and i loved it. I use to adore watching it, and singing , playing and dancing along. So i would like to go on the show and make it exciting for other kids and make them have an opportunity to enjoy it like i did.

If you could be given one skill or ability, which would you
want, why would you want it and what would you do with it?

If i could be given and ability, i would want to be able to disappear. I think its the coolest thing because people wouldn't know if i m there or not. I would be able to go in and out of places without being seen.

I would go to clubs like crazy, amusement parks and if i didn't want to stay somewhere, i would just leave and nobody would know, i d go wherever i wanted, like on trips, get rides to wherever, go on cruises and people wouldn't even know i m there.

It would probably want other things but you cant have everything. But i know even though i have other desires i would want, having the power to appear and disappear whenever i wanted would be my main choice.

Write about the most terrifying thing that has ever happened to you. What was it? What made it so frightening? How old were you? Would it be scary again today if it happened again?

The most terrifying thing that ever happened to me was when my dad had his stroke. I was always use to having him with me and helping me with everything. I would always come back for school, and the first place i would go would be his room.
But that day, he wasn't there. When i got home, i saw my godmother and her kids in my brothers room, it was kind of strange to me but i was like whatever. She told me my dad was in the hospital, i didnt believe her, i laughed and left to his room. I looked for him all over the house, he wasn't there. I went back to her and asked her where my dad was and she told me my dad had a stroke and was in the hospital.
I didn't know what to do, and taught he was going to die. My mom was at the hospital with him, so that day, i didn't see neither one of my parents.
I slept with my godmother, her kids and my brothers. The next day, after school, my brother took me to see him and i was scared of the way he looked, they told me he was going to survive but i didn't believe them.
He spent a week in the hospital, and when he got out, went to washington for a month. When he came back, he was back to normal.
That was the hardest time of my life, because my dad means the world to me and i don't know what i would do without him. At that time i was just 12.
If that happened again i would probably die, or cry all the water in me. I hope i never have to go thru that again.

Write about the most exciting thing that ever happened to you. What was it? What made it so exciting? How old were you? Would it be exciting if you did it again?

The most exciting thing that ever happened to me was when i went to the amusement parc "La Ronde" in Montreal,Canada. Me, two kids, my friend and another adult planned everything and when the day came everyone was more than anxious to go.

When we got there, everybody wanted to go on a different thing but we all agreed to try the smaller ones first.
First we went to the splash, followed by a lot of other rides the kids wanted to go on.

At one point me and my friend decided to go on " la ronde"( The circle) and "Le vampire" ( the vampire) , 2 of the biggest and scariest rides there.l It was the craziest and most exciting thing id ever done, just the best. I was usually scared of those big rides being a 13 year old girly girl but i overcame my fears that day.

I m looking forward to doing it again, and i plan on doing so during the summer next year, because i believe it gets more exciting every time, especially now that they're working on new rides!!!

Write about a belief you've discarded. Talk about why you no longer believe in this belief?

Like to every child, my parents and the other grow ups around me use to tell me legends that i rarely believed in. They use to talk to me about Santa clause and how he would bring me presents if i was a good girl during the year, the tooth fairy whom gived 25 cents for every tooth you lost and the Easter bunny.
I never really use to believe in those tails and those surnatural peple and things but in one: Santa. Not living in the states, the story of Santa use to be told differently to me because we didn't go to sleep and open are presents on Christmas morning. We would start celebrating on Christmas eve eat at around 9 and at 11:30 they would send us downstairs, when we d come up, it was 12 and we would just open are presents. The adults use to always tell us that we just missed him and we seriously believed that.
One Christmas eve, we went downstairs and i had to use the restroom. Everyone just came up with me- being kids we were virtually stuck togeter. When we got up the stairs, we saw my mom and my aunt putting the presents under the tree. I was about 10 and had a few days before start doubting the grownups sayings and that just crowned it.
My mom told us that he had dropped them on the balcony and that now she was putting under the tree but none of us believed her being too grown for that anyways but my cousin who was 9. He argued with us that Santa was there and that my mom got the presents from him. Not wanting to make him cry i told everybody to just forget it and leave him alone.
These things are just part of the childhood, it s like dolls that most little girls play with. It s those stages in life that just make you want to go back and just be a child again. But there's nothing we can d about that but put the past behind and try to improve our future.

Do you have chores or jobs that you have to do at home? What are they? Why do you have to do them? Do you like doing them?

At my house we do our chores by week. Every child has something to do during the whole week: either washing the dishes-clean the counter and the oven, moping and swiping the floor or cleaning the tables- and fixing the couches. I don't like doing chores because to me their annoying . I think it s the routine part that's gets on my nerves but whatever, we still have to do them to keep the house clean and neat so we dont really have a choice..
I also have to clean my room every Sunday, and that i enjoy doing. I don't like when people touch my stuff, because i think your room is your privacy, and i hate when they touch them and either put their somewhere else or just move them around. I always put everything where they're suppose to be, so i don't have to look for them, and i like finding them if needed. Searching is really not my thing. I also love cleaning my room, because i don't like when things are dirty and unorganized. I'm always in my room and it also gives me something to do when i m bored.
I dont really know anybody that likes doing chores but its just something that we have to do, it s a part of life so we have to deal with it.

What holidays does your family celebrate (like Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah)? What do you do on those holidays?

Being roman catholic, my family celebrates Christmas . The whole family gets togeter, every one comes to my house at about 6.
When everybody's there, all the kids play around ands just have fun while the grown ups talk and do what they have to do. At about nine, they call us up to eat, all the adults are on the kitchen table and the children on another in the living room. When were done, we just stay where we are until 11, when the send us to go take care of the fireworks, and that s when the parents put are presents under the three. At midnight we go back inside the house and wish each other a merry Christmas, and open are presents.
After a while, on thing just leads to another until 2 or 3 when everybody just heads home, and we go to bed.

Write about your favorite and least favorite teachers. Why do you like them or dislike them? What can they do to be better teachers in your eyes?

This year, my favorite teachers this year are Mr.Horsntein, Mr Martinez, and Mr.Goddard. My least favorite are Mr.Baptiste and Ms.Graibe.

Mr.Hornstein i think is a very good teacher. He gives good notes and explains the lessons well. He goes at a pace to which all the students can follow, and he gives us labs so we understand the lessons better.
Mr Martinez's class i thing is great, because even when if he gives work, he doesn't make it so boring, you get to have fun, and you dont have to be all serious nor fall asleep on desks. You kind of get to move a little, he just make you like learning and enjoy the lesson.
Mr.Goddard gives great, complete lectures. He understands his students, answers their questions when they have some and discuss things with us like the young adults we are, unlike some teachers that still treat us like kids.
Mr.Bastiste even tough he's an ok teacher, doesn't understand his course is not the only course we have. He gives us homework every single day, and kills us with classwork and plus he makes the quizzes that everyone fails count for the most grades, so its practically impossible to bring your grades up.
Ms Graibe i cant lie tries hard to teach us, but she doesn't have the experience yet and she cant control her students. She needs help to keep them quiet and make them listen to her.
Sometimes teachers are just evil and enjoy seeing students fail, and sometimes you get a teacher that you get impatient to go to his class but whether we like them or not we need the teachers more than they need us, so you have to just listen in class, do your work so you can pass and get ur education, because by failing your not hurting them, they already have theit career and life, your just hurting yourself.

Write about your best friends. Who are they? Why do you like them? What do you do together for fun?

I have the best friends in the world: Kim, Soraya, Jhama, Christian, and my brother Antoine. I would never replace them, not even for all the gold in the world. Their like my family, my life, they're always there for me, just like i am for them, and i adore them.

Kim, has been my best friend since for ever now, and after we became best friend, we found out we were cousins. Even though in the 5th grade, she switched schools, we always talked, went to parties, had sleep overs, and just hung out. She's so nice and so adorable, she's always there to make me feel good, and to boost my confidence.
Soraya's is so much more than a friend to me, she's my baby, my life, my little sister, she's always there to make me feel better, she's always been there for me, when i was sick, when i was having sentimental problems, when i was heart broken, or when i had to leave the country. She was the one, i mostly didn't want to leave, and that i needed the most. We spent the whole day crying that day. She's always been there for me, and i miss her so much, its sad. But we still see each other and spend the most time whenever we get a chance to.
Jhama, is just the most special person and my life right now. He's my sweet heart, and i care about him more than i8 care about myself. He's so honest and trust worthy, i feel really comfortable when i m with him, and i know i can tell him anything without him judging me.
Christian's my confident we've been through a lot together, and i think he's one of the people that know me the best in the world. He's like a counselor to me, and when i start telling him something he doesn't even have to hear the end to know what i did wrong and give me great advice.
Antoine is my boo. I adore this kid i can stay on the phone with him for ever and tell him everything that s bothering me, he's nice to me. He threats me like his baby, and i know that's never gonna change.
Becca's my booboo. Were always talking and we never run out off conversation. She's always there to listen to my story's and to help me.

Write about a time when you were brave. Describe the situation, do you believe that the experience made you a stronger person?

I'm terrified of cockroaches so the last time i remember being brave, was when my nephew tried to scare me by holding one by the antenna and pretending he was going to throw it at me.
I was soooo scared, it was sad because for some weird reason i m more scared of them when their dead than when they're alive. We got in a fight and he told me he was gonna go get the cockroach he had just killed and throw it at me. I told him i did nt care and he got it and started gettting it closer and closer to me, i pretended i did nt see it, but inside i was dying.
When he realized i did nt care due to my non reaction to his threaths, he stopped and threw the cockroach away.
The situation did'nt make me any stronger because i'm still petrified when i see one, dead or alive, i even it worsened my fear. But i also know that i learned from my mistake and never let my nephew know what i'm scared of nor ever ask him to kill any animal, or insect for me.
this experience also got me revengeful but i cant do anything to him because even when he's as old as me, i still see him as my nephew and i cant hurt nor be mean to him and plus the only thing i know he's scared of are possums and i cant even leave the house throught the front yard if they're in the back. So i just let it go and moved on.

Write about a time when you were dishonest. Describe the situation, do you regret being dishonest?

I reminber this one time, i hit my brother and ran. He started chasing me around all the house, and when he caught me, he started hitting me and at that time i had just started to grow nails so i scratched all his back, his face and anywhere i could reach, i literally took his skin off. I also bit him when he held my hands, and after he got me completely immobile, i started yelling out for my mom.
When she came, she saw my brother holding me and asked what happened, i told her Antoine started hitting me out of nowhere, so i scratched and bit him, but that at one point he held me and i couldn't move anymore.
My brother tried vainly to explain his side of the story, but being the youngest and nicest one, they naturally believed me. And they told him that either way it would be his fault because even if i hit him first, i was a little a kid and he's not suppose to ever hit me back, he has to tell her and she ll deal with it.
He got grounded, and i was happy. I don't really regret it, even tough i know lying is wrong but he did'nt get in that much trouble and plus now, we look back at those things and laugh. Those where just things that had to happen but it was fun while it lasted.

Heroes may seem old-fashioned today. Many people are cynical and seem to enjoy discrediting role models more than creating new ones or cherishing those they already have. Some people, moreover, object to the very idea of heroes, arguing that we should not exalt individuals who, after all, are only flesh and blood, just like the rest of us. But we desperately need heroes—to teach us, to captivate us through their words and deeds, to inspire us to greatness.
Adapted from Psychology Today, "How To Be Great! What Does It Take To Be A Hero?"

Is there a value in celebrating certain individuals as heroes? Plan and write a blog in which you develop your point of view on this issue. Support your position with reasoning and examples taken from your reading, studies, experience, or observations.

Heroes are the people you look up to, the people that did something you admire or that you might want to do or accomplish yourself. Your hero, is someone you want to be like, that you respect . Your hero could be anyone, parents, friends or pears but that still affected your life, your way of thinking, your point of view about something one way or the other.
A hero is just flesh and blood like all of us but they still have that one thing that you don't have and that your trying to get by following their footsteps.
Everyone has a hero whether it's a professional dancer because you love dancing, a football player because football is your passion, or an NBA basketball player because playing basketball is what you like.
Heroes play a major part in this world and are very important. You might be a looser to someone but to someone else you mean the world and might not even know it.
Personally my parents are my heroes because to me they achieved so much in their lives, and they are the most successful. And that's exactly how i want to be when i grow up, successful in life, a doctor with a loving family and kids that look up, admire and are proud of me.

Describe the last vacation or holiday you took. what made it special? How long ago did it occur? Does having a fun necessarily have to involve a certain place or certain people? Hypothetically speaking, which would you rather take, a three day holiday spent at home, but with your favorite people to spend with your favorite people in the world, or three days anywhere you choose in the world (all expenses paid), but with no one you really know well.

The last vacation i took was in Canada during the summer. It was the best vacation ever because my whole family got to be united again since 2 years and i had a blast.
I got to make new friends and saw a lot of my old ones that i hadn't seen since last year. We went shopping, partying and i can pretty much just say went crazzzzzy. I went out everyday, and made it as fun as possible, mostly because i know i m a party animal and was getting it all out so i would focus on school during the year.
Having fun doesn't necessarily involve a certain place or people but it sure helps. Because for example if i go to a party and i don't know anybody there, I'll always find a way to enjoy to the fullest, but it would always be better if my friends or loved ones were there.
I would rather have a three day holiday spent with my favorite people in the world, because those are the people i care the most about, and that are always there for me.
I love these people and i wouldn't trade them for anything and the world, just like i wouldn't choose anything else than being with them, thats always more than enough for me!!!

What is your favorite form of creative expression? If I were to ask you to pick one art that you could best express yourself through, which would it be? Of all the arts, which do you enjoy the most to view or listen to and which do you enjoy most to participate in. Are they the same?

Dance is my favorite form of creative expression, and i believe its also the best art that i could express myself to.
Of all arts, the one i enjoy the most to view is dramatic theatre because it's the art that i believe helps you understand what happened to someone else, what they went thru, and helps you be someone else for a while then, because when your in a play, you really have to get in the character, and painting because a painting can be interpretated and viewed a thousand ways.
The art i enjoy listening to the most are songs especially love songs, because they help you express your feelings, and tell someone how you feel about them in such an adorable way, you take your time, to actually write a song about that person and i thing thats the cutest thing.
The art i enjoy most to participate in is poetry, i always loved writing since my young age and when i usually couldn't express myself to someone or tell them how i felt about them or about something, i would write a poem about it probably let the person read it.
All arts remain arts, but they each have their way of coming out, or of being expressed, whether its poetry, dance, or theatre, they're all expressed a different way but by still show someone's or a groups emotions or feelings toward something, or maybe in some cases just a aesthetic.

If you could go back in time and fix three mistakes, what would they be? What would you do differently? Do you believe that fixing these mistakes would change your life today? Describe how. Do you think you would make these mistakes again later on in life?

- If i could go back in time, i would've taken school more seriously, by trying hard, studying and doing my homework. Because even though i'm doing great now, the bad grades i got there are still gonna stay in my record and follow me for life.
- Take care of my dad's health, like making him exercise and eat healthier because even if maybe i would've still been away from him now, he would be healthier, wouldn't have to take medicine , and i wouldn't have to worry so much about not being there to help.
- And i would appreciate what my parents do for me more, and stop wasting money. Because i realised that i use to always spend my money on useless things and was never satisfied, and now that there not there, i realize how much everything changed and how hard it is not having them around.

Think about the person you were 5 years ago. Do you believe that you are the same now as you were back then? Do the same things interest you? Do you have the same friends? Do you believe that you will be as you are 5 years from now? Do you think the same things will be important to you? What do you expect to have accomplished by then?

Five years ago i was a totally different person. I was really talkative, but never really expressed my emotions or feelings. I use to let people take advantage of me, i neglected school, and all my life revolved around track and dance. I still have the same interest and they're still both my passions, well mostly track.
My 2 best friends: Kim and Soy and most of my good friends I've been friends with since 3d grade, so yes i can say i somewhat have the same friends. Even though some of them might have moved, i might have lost contact with, a few of them difference arose between us, but my true friends, the people i know that blood wouldn't make us any closer, i know are there and will always will be. But some people just come in your life, and are there just for a while and that s life well to me. But the same way you loose friends, more people come, and not to say it doesn't matter but life goes on .
5 years from now, i know i ll be in college, still working hard to follow my dreams, and i ll probably be independent and working. I'll probably have the same interests but i don't know, i might change, but i know the main things will stay the same.
I know i ll be a success in life but by then i hope i will have made a major positive difference in someone's life.

Think about the way people look at you for a moment. List 10 qualities that you believe people perceive in you. Describe in a sentence why you think this is so. Are you happy with the way people think about you?

10 qualities people see me as are :
- loyal
- full of pride
- kind
- self confidence
- sharing
- social
- honest
- respectful
- persistent
- and loving
I believe so because, that's what the people that are the closest to me and that i've know for most of my life tell me, my friend told me one day that when i care about someone and i say i am with that person, i m with you till the end . I m happy about what most people think about me and i try my best to always keep it that way, and even if i m not, i m still happy with what i think about myself and to me that's what mostly matters.

Read and interpret the following quote by Benjamin Franklin. Describe what you think it means. Do you agree with it, why or why not. Share any experiences that may help you describe your view.
“Be slow in choosing a friend, slower in changing”
-Benjamin Franklin
(1706-1790)

When Benjamin Franklin say " Be slow choosing a friend, and slower i changing, is that you have to pick your friends wisely, you need to get to know the person, think about if he is going to be a good friend or not, and how you might need him in your life and how much you can get along.
I completely agree with it, because its true, you can think someone is your friend just because you guys talk and he or she are backstabbers. You should be able to trust your friend and i dont think anyone would want to trust a person they know nothing about, it's common sence.
For example there's this girl that i know and we use to go to the same school in Haiti. When i had just met we were talking and i taught she was my friend, but it wasnt the case. She was just trying to get my friends and be like me, she was jealous of what i had and what i was, until one day we got in a huge fight, and it became general because the fight did not stay limited between me and her it was me and my friends against her and hers.
So we had like a war going on. Until the day my parents decided to make me move here. It was ok, since i still knew everything that was going on,but that only made her hate me more, because at one point that was the only thing our generation was talking about.
One day she got kidnapped, and the day after they released her, she also moved to Miami, and went to school with one of my best friends, having common friends here we started seing each other alot, she was coming to our get to geters and then joined the same dance group as me. We went to the pool one day, and started talking again and decided to put the past behind, grow up and move on. My best friends from Haiti told me talking to her was a bad idea but i told them it was ok, and she had changed and grown up.
I was just wrong. After a while she started over with the same foolishness and imaturity that had made us fight the first time. So now we just plane dont talk anymore and i dont care what happens were still not going to talk, even if we have to live in the same house.

List ten things that you feel you could change in your life to become a better and more efficient person. Describe in a sentence why you chose each one. Think about ten things about you that you could change that would help you achieve your goals.

To be a better person, i need to:
- Start focusing more on school, because you cannot achieve without an education.
- Be nicer to the people around me, you cant live alone, your always going to need others in your life.
- Have more patience, patience is a vertue, that i really need to work on, i have no type of patience.
- I have to stop depending on my parents, and become independent of them and my brothers, ey're not always going to be there, and it's better to start early, than when your facing hard times.
- Try harder at dance, because i love dancing but i dont feel like i give it my best and that i am trying enough.
- Learn to forget, i always forgive and never forget so it's hard for me to stay out off arguments.
- Try being the bigger person in the fights i get into, because somebody has to be, and we dont have time to waist.
- Try to be less sensitive at people's actions, and work on my sense of humor, because all my friends are complaining about how they're scared of joking with me.
- Practice more for track, because track is my passion and i want to be the best at it.
- Spend more time, with my family and friends, and stop procracinating because I have live for today, tomorrow is not promised to me.So i need to just live, laugh and be.

As we approach the halfway point in the first 9 weeks, which do you feel is the most demanding of all your classes? Are you finding it difficult to find your footing in school this year? Are you working particularly hard in any one area? How do you feel about the pace of this class so far? Is it meeting your expectations? Do you find it difficult?

As we approach the halfway point to the first 9 weeks, i feel my math class is the most demanding. The teacher doesnt understand he's not are only class we have and that we cant only focus on his course.
I really dont think it's difficult to find footing in school this year because i am really motivated, and have a lot of goals. Maybe i might be pushing myself to hard, or have high expections, but i'm a perfectionnist so to me everything always has to be perfect.
I'm working really hard in all areas, but i m really focusing on my science classes, because now i m in bio medical and do to the fact that that those classes are about what i am going to be doing for the rest of my life, i really work on them, and try to learn and reminber as much as i can.
I love this class, i think its really organized and to me it makes you want to learn, come to school. It's better than what i expected and the best thing about it is that you dont have to sit at a desk all the time. No class is hard if you work and try stay your best to stay in control.

Describe in detail your biggest fear. Do you believe it is something that you can overcome? If so, can you do do by yourself or do you need help? When do you believe that you first acquired this fear? Do you believe that it is a rational or irrational fear? Do you think that it is a common fear or is it something particular to you? Do you parents know about it?

My biggest fear is heights. I cant be somewhere high, look down, even if i know i am safe and not think i am going to fall. I might still do it but inside i am dying.
I really think it's something i can overcome and by myself, because i dont know anything someone might say or do to unscare me. They already tried and i did not work.
I believe i first acquired this fear when i went to my friends house and they took me to the roof. They were joking around asking what would happen if we fell, but really thinking about it, it was nt funny at all.
I know it s rational, because you never really know how solid what your standing on is gonna fall or even if you are not gonna slip and fall down.
I believe it s a common fear, because a lot of people i know are afraid of heights. My parents do know about it but like i said before there is nothing they can do about it, it s something i have to change in me, and in my mind to overcome it, not them.

What do you believe is the most important right you have as an American? If you had to choose one right as being the most important to YOU, which would it be? Why is this the case? What would things be like if this right didn’t exist?

I believe that as an American, the most important right is the right to freedom of choice. Because with that the cant force you to do or believe anything or to be part of a religion for example, like in the time of puritans. So now we dont have to run away when were not accepted. Your religion is your belief and your choice.
The most important right to me, is the right of speech. You get to express your feelings and emotion as long as it doesnt disturb the society.
If rights did nt exist the authorities would be able to abuse of us, there would be inequality, the people would nt speek up, when to them something wasn't right, would be lost and a lot more war in the world.
Rights, are there to protect the people and fight for equality among the people in a society and in the world.

What is the definition of being an adult to you? Describe what it means to be “grown up”. Is it just a matter of age? What are some of the characteristics an adult has or should have?

To me being an adult is when you take responsibility for your actions, when you do what to have to do, and when you dont need someone to run after you for everything.
Growing up is being mature toward the situations and obstacles oflife, when you stop acting like a kid, and start taking life seriously. Growing up is just a term that in most case doesn't mean growing up as in age but growing up in your personalitie, in your person. A person can be 30 and still acts like a child. Some people grow up and mature faster than others, just like they say girls grow up faster than boys, because most boys just kid around and dont care about anything, most girls at a young age start being aware of all the seriousness of life.
Being an adult doesnt mean being old it just means that your, respectful, mature and serious. That your capable of taking responsibility for your actions.

Love !!!!!

What do you feel is the most important thing in life? What makes life meaningful? Does living a meaningful life necessarily mean being financially successful? Does not having a lot of money make you a failure as a person?

To me the most important thing in life is love. Loving and being loved from family, friends, and your pears is the best and greatest feeling in the word.
Having people that care about you, caring about them and appreciating what others do for you, and your happyness, is really meaningful in life because, when you care about others you have a reason to live, because someone out there needs you, therefore you know you have a reason to be,to wake up in the morning, you feel necessary in that persons life. Living a meaningful life does'nt mean being financially successful, it s just being a good and caring person, and have people love and care about you. Not having a lot of money does'nt make you a failure person because on the contrary money is the root of all evil. Some human beings will practically do anything for money : for example i know people that would give love, their soul and that if they could would even give their emotions up for money, and if you dont have feelings and emotions to me their is no way you coul live.
The love so beautiful and it would be so good if their could be world peace. No fighting, no war, no arguments and no disputes.
Love is the most important thing in life. Money is just a necessity, to survive not to be happy. To me money has nothing to do with happyness.

Pretend that your parents informed you that you would be moving to live in Japan at the end of the month. What are some difficulties that may arise. How difficult would it be for you to live there and why? Do you believe that those difficulties would be eased with time, if so how? Now compare your thoughts on this scenario with some of the difficulties you imagine people immigrating to this country come across. Are the problems similar to those you would encounter if you were told you were moving to Japan?

If my parents told me i was moving to japan,i would be so mad but sad at the same time. Because i would have to start my life all over again. I would have a lot of problems adapting over there, because i dont know anything about japan, their culture, nor japanese. So i would'nt be able to understand any of my classes, ask for help nor communicate with others. Japanese is nt similar to any of the languages i know so i think adapting there would be the hardest thing i would ever have to do.
Well even thought i was born in the U.S i spent all my 15 first years in Haiti. I only moved here in september. I did nt have problems adapting
here because i had been speaking english since i was 4 and i came here for vacation every summer.
for other people who did nt have the opportunities i had, it might somewhat similar but not totally, because now in almost all countries, in school you learn english so even when the person does'nt fluently speek it, he still has an idea of what he has to do.
Moving to a foreign country is never easy, but it s just something a lot of people have to get thru and we dont really have a choice. Having built all your life somewhere, and then having to move, is like moving and leaving your life behind .But we have to, sometimes for our security, for a better life, or a better education. It s just one of the hard passages of life, that we just have to accept and get over.

Who are the three most important people in your life? Why are they so important? Do you believe that you are as important to them as they are to you?

The three most inportant people in my life would have to be: my mom, my dad and my brother ( godfather) Anthony.
All my life i've believed in Anthony so much it was sad. I believe in everything he says, cry if he cries, and laugh if he laughs. He's like a row model to me. I even believe that the dream/perfect guy for me is just like him.And i think the day he dies i will die to, because i dont picture my life without him. Anthony has always been there for me, as a brother, a godfather, a protector, a confident, an advisor, a friend and even as a second dad to me.
My mom's is my hero, even tought i dont always show it, i look up to her, and i love her to death. I d give my life for her if i had to. My mom is the bravest woman i know, she is strong, loyal, sweet and so smart to me, that i can tell her anything.
My dad is the greatest dad in the whole world and i adore him. He's honest, smart, and loving. He's always been there to take care of me, and i think the communication and understanding we have is unbelievable. Because most girls of my age cant tell anything to they're dads and for me it s the complete opposite. My dad spoils me like crazy, And the fact that i almost lost him a few years ago just made me understand how much he meant to me and how much i need him in my life.
Even thought they're all far away from me right now, i love them and i miss them so much, and i know they feel the same way about me because i am like the apple of they're eye.

Often in our society, a person is labeled a Hero for his actions and contributions. Describe the characteristics you believe a hero must posses and why you believe they must posses them. Cite examples that may strengthen your point.

Often in our society, a person is labeled a hero for his actions and contributions. To some people heros are the surnatural, that you see in the legendary movies or shows, with super powers. To me, a hero is someone who stands up for what he or she believes in, someone that sticks up for himself and doesnt let people step on them, and kill there hope of one day accomplishing there dream.

A hero is a caring sharing and protective person. He whom takes care of himself but also helps others as much as he can.

Just like my hero, my mom: Gessy C.Coicou. She never lets fear or emotions overcome her. She takes care of herself and all her loved ones and shows to everybody that sexism doesnt lead to anything, and that every man or woman are equal, and are capable of accomplishing their goals. She was the first woman to be the chief inspector general of the PNH ( national police of Haiti).
Other examples of heroes are, Martin luther king for fighting for equal rights between the blacks and the whites, or mother Theresa for being such a great person and for having done so much for christianism and even the world.
A hero doesnt have to be extraordinary, he's just a great and good person you admire, that you believe in that you follow, and that changed of had a somewhat affect in your life.
